What should we be aware of when signing the contract?
Our tenancy agreement is provided by the Student Union and has both the legal words and their related explanation alongside to assist both our and your understanding ! This contract is legally binding and will make you liable for your personal rental payments for the full duration of the contract.
We will be pleased to answer any questions, but if you are in any doubt we suggest you seek legal advice.
My friends and I have had a viewing and love the property, what's next?
Call or email us. We will request some details from you and then forward a contact form for you all to complete and return. We will then draft your tenancy agreements and meet up with you all for you each to review the agreement and we will explain what it all means.
We will give you ample time to check out the contract. We will not hassle you or pressure you into signing.
How do I reserve and sign up for a property ?
Once you’ve found a property you like, let us know and if it's still available you can reserve the house for 7 days to allow you to complete all the paperwork. All paperwork must be completed within 7 days. We will process your application and then take the house off the market.
What type of contract would I be entering into?
Our contracts are INDIVIDUAL fixed-term Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements based upon the one supplied by the Sheffield Students Union. They run from 1st July to 30th June of the following year.
