RENT
Are all the properties furnished ?
Each bedroom contains modern, matching quality furniture:
· 4-foot bed
· Bedside cabinet
· Chest of drawers
· Wardrobe + Tall Mirror
· Bookshelf
· Desk + comfortable swivel chair
The lounge will have adequate seating, sofas and/or chairs with coffee table and dining facilities. The kitchen generally provides electric oven and hob, fridges (x2), freezer, washer-dryer and combi-microwave with grill, and dishwasher! We also provide drying racks, a vacuum cleaner, brush, mop, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board.
We don’t do soft furnishings … so we do NOT provide any bedding, pillows, and we do always recommend that you bring a 4-foot mattress cover for your bed. You will need to provide your own cutlery and crockery as we find your parents love to go and shop for you personally !
We provide an inventory which will detail every item provided by each room. This is an important document that describes all of the items and their condition throughout the property. You should check to ensure that all of the items are present in the property that are listed on the inventory, and that they are in the condition described. If anything is missing or damaged and has not been noted on the inventory at this stage you should contact us immediately. We expect everyone to verify the contents of their own room and sign-off the inventory. This is the document that we will use when you vacate the property to ensure that all items are present and are in the same condition as when you arrived.
How do we register and arrange payment of our utility bills?
When you move in to a property you should check the meter readings for electricity and gas (we will show you how to do this). You then have to register all utilities (including also the water and broadband) in your name and that of your fellow housemates and give the companies the readings you have taken. Full details and telephone numbers of the current suppliers will be made available in our house booklet when you move in.
Can I bring my own furniture?
We request that you do not bring your own furniture, as all furnishings that are brought into the property must comply with the furniture and furnishings safety regulations.
